20 x 25cm. Oil painted on gallery wrapped linen, ready to hang.

A barefoot walk along a coastal path where the land, the sky, and the body move together. This painting reflects a moment of being alone but not lonely, a time when the presence of the land itself feels like company.

The path winds through lush coastal growth, each step connecting the figure more deeply to the earth beneath her feet. In the distance, mist drifts over the islands, which in Irish folklore is a sign that the Good People (The fairies) are moving through the hills. Above, the sky holds the colours and movement of a storm just passed, bright, restless, and full of renewal.

Through the interplay of grounded detail and an expressive, post-storm sky, the work captures the sensation of belonging to a place so completely that solitude becomes connection, and the boundary between the seen and unseen softens.
